Pullach/Hanover, September 16, 2024 – The international mobility provider SIXT is participating as an exhibitor for the first time at the IAA Transportation in Hanover, showcasing its extensive range of commercial vehicle rentals under the brand SIXT van & truck in Hall 13, Stand C 34. The highlight is a new offering, created in collaboration with market-leading vehicle outfitter Sortimo (based in Zusmarshausen), which allows commercial vehicles to be equipped with racking systems more easily, quickly, and flexibly – at attractive conditions from SIXT.

Customers can choose between standard and customized racking units, with the equipped commercial vehicle available just a few days after booking. Another advantage of this new offer is its high flexibility: While the minimum rental period for commercial vehicles with racking systems used to be 12 months, customers can now rent these vehicles starting from one month, up to a maximum of 36 months. This new service is suitable for businesses across all industries that need to quickly and efficiently expand or supplement their service, delivery or installation fleet with equipped commercial vehicles, or those seeking to maintain a fleet that remains flexible, easy to manage, and off their balance sheet.

The racking systems can also be combined with various rental tariffs from SIXT van & truck, such as the new “Full Service Rental” tariff, which has been available since June 2024. In addition to flexible rental term options (up to 36 months), this tariff stands out for its attractive price-performance ratio, offering predictable costs and numerous included services. The monthly rental price covers insurance, registration, taxes, tires, maintenance and wear, repairs and vehicle replacement. Customers can also define the optimal price-performance package for mileage more flexibly than ever, with the smallest and most affordable package including 2,000 kilometers per month. With the option to terminate the rental at any time, the “Full Service Rental” tariff serves as an ideal alternative and complement to purchasing or financial leasing of commercial vehicles.

Overall, customers at SIXT van & truck benefit from a wide, modern fleet of commercial vehicles in various sizes – ranging from small and medium vans to 3.5-ton, 7.5-ton, and heavy 14-ton trucks. These commercial vehicles can be rented at over 350 SIXT locations across the company’s European markets, as well as at 16 specialized “Truck Centers”, which stand out for their large vehicle capacity and the extensive commercial vehicle expertise of their staff. This year, SIXT has already opened three new Truck Centers in Germany: in Nuremberg, Stuttgart, and a second location in the capital at Berlin Friedrichshain (near the Eastside Gallery), complementing the existing Truck Center near Tegel Airport. In addition to expanding the fleet and branch network, SIXT continues to invest in the digitalization of its commercial vehicle offerings. Customers can access this service directly through the “SIXT van & truck Portal” or the “SIXT van & truck App”. The advantage: Customers can assign and manage the vehicles they have rented from SIXT within their own company. The respective driver can then digitally rent the assigned vehicle via the “SIXT van & truck App”. This saves customers valuable time, enhances flexibility, and increases operational efficiency in the use of commercial vehicles.
