Pullach/Tunis, 27 August 2026 – Premium mobility provider SIXT is launching its car rental services in Tunisia through a new strategic franchise partnership with Tunifleet Car Rental. The new opening in Tunisia gives customers immediate access to SIXT’s premium fleet and service standards at the country’s most important travel hubs. Customers can find SIXT at the following airports:

• Tunis-Carthage International Airport (TUN)
• Monastir Habib Bourguiba International Airport (MIR)
• Enfidha-Hammamet International Airport (NBE)
• Djerba-Zarzis International Airport (DJE) (starting in 2027)

Further locations are already in planning. The network will be gradually expanded with additional downtown branches in key tourism cities such as Sousse, Hammamet, Mahdia and Sfax, as well as further locations along Tunisia’s coastline. The range of services offered by SIXT in Tunisia covers the full mobility spectrum: short-term and long-term vehicle rental, van and truck rental, chauffeured services and vehicle leasing – across a fleet ranging from compact cars and sedans to SUVs, premium vehicles, and commercial vehicles.

The partnership comes at a defining moment for Tunisian tourism. In 2025, the country welcomed more than 11 million international visitors for the first time in its history and generated a record 8.097 billion Tunisian Dinars (TND) in tourism revenue, up 6.5% year-on-year versus 2024. Key European source markets – France, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom – contributed more than 2.5 million arrivals combined. These results confirm Tunisia’s position as one of Africa’s most dynamic travel destinations.
