SIXT UK completes the barbiecore aesthetic with wheels to match
The hottest trend of the year is sassy, bright and fantastic (sans plastic). That’s right, it’s barbiecore. And with the highly anticipated film hitting cinemas this month, the UK is set to be tickled pink like never before.
But if being clad head-to-toe in the uber-bright hue isn’t enough, SIXT UK has turned one of its premium fleet into a hot pink Barbie-style car. The Mini Convertible features a vibrant, sparkly barbiecore exterior with pink steering wheel, seats and dashboard, for a car that will be everything your 6-year-old self could have dreamed of.
And yet, with more than 375 million searches for #Barbiecore on Tik Tok alone, is the trend here to stay…?
Probably not. So that’s why the car is available from SIXT for a limited time only.
Customers can hire the car this month for the weekend (Dog and accessories sold separately), enquiring via sixtbarbiecorecar@smarts.agency or via SIXT’s social channels. Just bring your imagination and sense of adventure, and the road trip of dreams can begin…
Tim Vetters, Managing Director of SIXT UK said: “SIXT is known for its attention-grabbing installations and activities. So with pink taking over this summer, we thought it was time for car rental to get in on the action. We wanted to create a car that was as vibrant, eye-catching and on-trend as our customers, and our barbiecore car does not disappoint!”
And who better to take SIXT’s barbiecore car for a test drive than Lisa Marie Brown, founder of P1NK supercar hangouts.
Living her best life, Lisa has built the biggest supercar community in Wales through P1NK Motorsports & Supercars, where she gets to race hot-pink supercars competitively. When she’s not on the racetrack, she’s providing training, practical skills and mentoring to young people through her company, Pinkspiration.
Lisa Marie Brown, founder of P1NK supercars commented: “When I heard that SIXT was creating a showstopping barbiecore convertible, I knew that I had to take it for a spin. Being the first to drive the sparkly hot-pink car before any other pink-crazed fans is a dream, I only wish I could add it to my collection.”
The addition of the hot pink barbiecore car comes just days after SIXT UK announced the opening of its new flagship branch in Heathrow Terminal 2. The branch makes SIXT the only operator at T2 to allow travellers to collect their car at the terminal. The state-of-the-art branch offers customers ultimate convenience including shorter walking routes, a seamless service and a wide choice of the latest fleet models.
