Pullach\/Johannesburg, September 27th<\/sup>, 2024 \u2013<\/strong> The international mobility service provider SIXT is consistently driving forward its ambitious expansion and growth strategy, achieving another milestone with its new franchise partnership with the established South African car rental company, SANI Car Rental. This partnership significantly strengthens SIXT’s market position in Southern Africa. From November 1, 2024, SIXT will offer high-quality car rental services to its customers in South Africa and Namibia, with a market entry in Botswana planned for 2025.<\/p>\n

In South Africa, which is the largest car rental market in Africa with a market size of around 430 million euros, SIXT is significantly expanding its presence, while at the same time entering two completely new markets in Namibia and Botswana. At launch, SIXT will be represented in South Africa and Namibia with a fleet of more than 7,000 vehicles at a total of 32 branches. All existing and future branches of the new franchisee SANI Car Rental will be renovated and redesigned in the familiar SIXT design with a joint SANI SIXT branding.<\/p>\n

SIXT customers will benefit from a premium fleet of high-quality vehicles, including renowned BMW, Mercedes and Volkswagen brands, premium services at the branches, and a dense branch network in all relevant major cities and airports in South Africa, including Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. In Namibia, SIXT will initially be present with two branches in the capital city of Windhoek. Both private and business customers not only have access to a young and high-quality vehicle fleet, but also SUVs and vehicles with all-wheel drive, such as the Toyota Hilux 4×4, suitable for adventure travel and safaris.<\/p>\n
